Description

In Bohnanza, successful bean farming is all about clever trading, careful planning and choosing the right moment to harvest. Players manage their bean fields, negotiate trades and try to turn their crops into valuable Bohnentaler.

Different bean varieties can be planted on the available fields. The more beans of one variety a player manages to grow before harvesting, the better the potential return. Harvesting too early, however, can reduce the reward. Players therefore need to balance their current needs with their plans for future turns.

Trading is at the heart of the game. Players negotiate with one another to exchange bean cards and improve their own fields. Good deals can help complete a valuable crop, while smart negotiations can prevent opponents from getting exactly what they need.

A distinctive feature of Bohnanza is the way cards are managed in hand. Their order cannot simply be rearranged, meaning that every new card can create an unexpected decision. This creates an engaging combination of planning, negotiation and tactical play.
