In 2019, ÖBB Infrastructure AG put a new high-performance snow blower into operation. The machine, used for clearing snow from railway tracks, is powered by two 793 kW (approx. 1,100 hp) MAN twelve-cylinder engines. One engine drives the vehicle, while the other powers the blower. The snow blower can move up to 10,000 tons of snow per hour with a throwing distance of 40 meters. It is approved for speeds of up to 100 km/h for transport. A 180° rotating wheel allows it to turn on the spot. This allows even the most challenging alpine weather conditions to be mastered.

Note: The model has limited functionality in analog mode, therefore we recommend digital operation. In analog mode, the snowplow starts moving, the headlights and driving sounds are activated, and the paddle wheels rotate.
